There is way to open the Power BI mobile app on specific dashboards/reports.

You can read more here -

Hope that this helps.

Hi ,

Is there any update on this feature?

Regards,

Robin

Hey @Anonymous ,

URLs are supported for quite some time, and it should work.

Are you experiencing any issue with it?

Maya

Hi @mshenhav @yaronc,

I have developed a mobile app with a deep link to PowerBi mobile app using the below post:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/mobile/mobile-apps-deep-link-specific-location

The URL is as below:

https://app.powerbi.com/Redirect?action=OpenApp&appId=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxx&ctid=xxxxxx... eq 'value'

When I click on the URL in my app, it opens PowerBi mobile app and displays report but the filter doesn't work.

Is url filter currently supported in this scenario?

Thanks!

Hey @Lukasz1982,

The redirect format does not support passing filter values in the URL.

You should use report URL in order to open a report with filter applied: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-url-filters

The down side of this format, is that if your user does not have Power BI Mobile app installed it will open in the browser and will not pop a page that suggest the user to get the app from the store....

HTH,

Maya

Hi @mshenhav,

Thank you for your reply.

When I try to use the direct link to report it doesn't open the mobile app and tries to open the report in web browser. I have the PowerBI mobile app installed on my phone.

Could you share how the link should look like in order to be able to open a mobile app and accept filtering parameters.

Thanks,

Lukasz

Hi,

I am having a table with one of the columns having URL to open report in power Bi app (e.g. mpsbi://....) but I am not able to show them as URL icons (like we can do with the web links) in the table.

Any idea how this can be achieved?

Hey @vaibhav_osc,

This is currently not supported. We are considering add that capability. Can you please add your vote to our user voice for this feature? https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas?category_id=105939

Thanks, Maya

Hey @vaibhav_osc,

In apps URLs are now supported in Power BI Mobile apps.

You can embed an artifact URL in your report and navigate to it directly by tapping on that link.

Thanks,

Maya

No, it's not possible to open a link to a mobile app view. Power BI Mobile is just connecting to Power BI service, you can use the embedded link created via "pubish to web".
