Default system dark/light appearance

Hi all,

It appears that for our company phones the appearance system default is always set to dark mode, however all of our reporting is designed for a white background. Where can I set the system default to light appearance for our mobile users?

Thanks for any feedback!

Hi @Anonymous ,

The system default mode is set according to the mode of your mobile device.
If you’ve already configured your device to operate in dark mode (Device Settings > Display & Brightness > Appearance), then please configure your device to operate in light mode. In this way, your system adds light mode by default.

Reference:

The theme you’ve been waiting for – Dark mode comes to the Power BI iOS app

The default system dark/light appearance refers to the default color scheme that is used by an operating system or software application. This color scheme can either be a dark appearance, where the main background color is dark and the text and other elements are displayed in light colors, or a light appearance, where the main background color is light and the text and other elements are displayed in dark colors.

The choice of the default system dark or light appearance is often based on user preference and can be changed by the user in the settings of the operating system or software application. Some people may prefer a dark appearance because it is easier on the eyes in low light conditions, while others may prefer a light appearance because it is easier to read.

In some cases, the default system dark/light appearance may also be based on the device or platform being used. For example, some devices may have a dark appearance by default to save battery life on OLED displays, while others may have a light appearance to reduce eye strain in bright environments.
