refresh timing out in Power BI Desktop (SQL server and Power BI service refreshes fine)

i'm trying to refresh 2019 to date data and it is timing out. Ran the query in SQL Server Management Studio and it runs in 5 mins, also refreshes fine in the Power BI Service.

only the desktop is when it's timing out. HELP!

As you mentioned the report refreshes successfully in Power BI service, is the on-premises data gateway running on the same machine as Power BI desktop?

Please enable the option "Enable parallel loading of tables":
