"Unable to load the model" error

Our main enterprise shared dataset is suddenly inaccessible. I cannot connect through XMLA with SSMS, Tabular Editor, etc. and no reports based on it will load, they just spin forever.

The only error message I can get is an "Unable to load model" error when I attempt to manually refresh the dataset from the Service.

Status: Investigating

Hi,

According to my test, I can normally connect to the Power BI dataset on my side?

I think you can first check if you have the permission to this dataset in the Power BI service at current.

If you still have a problem and want to get a solution for this kind of problem based on your specific situation as soon as possible, I suggest you to open a support ticket to get direct help from the technical support team of Microsoft.
