"Include in report refresh" - disabling doesn't work in the service

Although in PBI Desktop, disabling the option "Include in report refresh" works sometimes at least (exceptions see here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Bug-in-quot-Don-t-include-in-Report-Refresh-quot/idi-p/11135...), it doesn't work at all in the service: There all queries will be refreshed, regardless how this option is set.

Please fix - thanks.

Hi @ImkeF,

I got information that “Include in report refresh” doesn't supported in Power BI service currently, please vote this same idea up: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/20579641-exclude-a-table-from-ref.... Thanks.

Thanks @v-qiuyu-msft for the fast response here.

Is there an overview somewhere where I can find the features that don't work in the service?

So far my understanding was that everything we design in Desktop will also work in the service, apart from Preview features and some size limitations (which are properly documented).

Two years later and this was still not fixed. It doesn't sound that complicated to set a flag to ignore some queries so unsure what's the excuse.

Also, why does the status say "Delivered" it was certainly not fixed.

I agree, this is still an issue, why says delivered?  can disable the refresh in App, but fails scheduled refresh because still does in the service!

Hi All @ImkeF @WorkHard @pattersonm8 ,

I know for you this is a "old" bug.

I recently created a support ticket for this topic. It seems that if the query source file is avalibile to Power BI Service It's not refeshing it "as intented".

So it seems to be checking if it has access to the query source file, previos to the check if it should refesh the query.

I was told that this is "as designed" and to create a Idea for it. So I did: -> https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=44f7ca13-e8c9-eb11-ba5e-281878bdaa58

There is also another Idea for this topic: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=dcf8d499-1bb5-43a5-b9e0-a0be2266d6da

Not sure if it helps but, I will try to collect votes on those. Since you also experienced this Issue, I would be glad to get your votes or even your support in collecting more votes ^_^

Have a nice day!
