Hi Team, We are facing the issue with the Powerbi Service from past 2-3 day. we are getting " Query contains unsupported function. Function name: Resource.Access " through the python scripts.Before that we are using the same through the personal gateway installed. Attaching the image for you refrence.Please Fix this issue ASAP!! refresh not happening Kindly address this issue resolution, I can't downgrade the application as well as there is dire need to use the new slicer in power bi which is available in the latest version only.

I have encountered an issue with two different clients (i.e. two completely different Power BI tenants and completely different reports / semantic models) whereby Power BI report subscription emails intermittently contain the below error message rather than an actual report preview image. From day-to-day the subscriptions that contain the error version are completely at random - e.g. one day the 9am subscription will contain an actual report preview screenshot, the next day it will contain the "This content isn't available" error, and the day after that it will work as expected once more. The report always renders with no issues when I access the report in Power BI service. We have multiple subscriptions being sent out concurrently for the same report, but from different report pages. Some of the subscriptions are sent out successfully, others with the error message. Again it is completely at random which subscription is succesfful or not. I did raise the issue in the community and someone commented to say they had experienced the same. I use dd/mm/yyyy format on PBI desktop, but when published to online, that date is converted to US format mm/dd/yyyy. This has only just happened in the last week or so. Worked fine for months prior. No changes have been made. My default browser language is NZ, and in PBI desktop and service it is set to 'default (browser language)'. It has always been set to this. But suddenly it has started being converted to US format. Please help! Ben

PBI standard stacked column chart Data labels no longer appearing on latest update to PBI desktop, also not working when published to app service. Have attempted, resize of visuals, responsive on/off, data label sizing etc. Tried a few 3rd party chart visuals and works. Any ideas

I have accent bars and Shadow turned off for my cards - using New Card Visual. In Desktop: In Service: This has broken a ton of my reports. I've already tried republishing to no avail. Edit: Seems if I edit the report directly in the Service, and republish my App, I can fix the issue temporarily. But the issue with publishing from Desktop still remains.

Hey No reports are loading in the PowerBI Service, they just sit there. This is occuring through my browser and the app. I am unable to connect to any datasets. No way to contact support, so ive had to logged an 'idea'

I have a data sort which requires me to apply a couple different filters in the data view. When I open the report I select the first column and apply a filter on my table in data view. Whenever I select the filter button on the next column it automatically is hoping back to the last column I selected not pulling up the filter dropdown on the new column. This is a new issue as of last night and I can not seem to select any column for filtering other than the first one I click on when entering the data view. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling powerBI but no luck

Hi, I noticed yesterday that the tooltips that display values when hovering over the lines in both the line and clustered column chart and the line and stacked column chart are not showing in Power BI online. There looks to be no issue with the report in the desktop version. I have checked this against a couple of reports that I have and for all of them that have a line and column chart the values for the columns show up fine on hover but the values for the lines do not show in the Power BI online, but they are all working fine in the desktop version so it is nothing to do with the tooltips being turned off. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Created a Power BI Dataflow with the connection to other existing Power BI data flow using "Dataflow" connector, worked in the editing, but failed in refreshing once saved it. Switched the connector from "Dataflow" to "Power BI Dataflow (Legacy)" and worked. Dataflow connector has the issue with connecting to other Power BI dataflow when refreshing data. The refresh error message was "Error: Data Source Error : DataSource.Error: Microsoft SQL: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) DataSourceKind = <ccon>PowerPlatformDataflows</ccon> DataSourcePath = <ccon>PowerPlatformDataflows</ccon> Message = <ccon>A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections".

Anyone else experiencing this? The formatting of the visual titles in my report was all good. Now it is not good any more. There are white frames around the Titles making them taller. Plus, even without these white frames, the Titles themselves are taller. This is causing the information below (i.e. Card Data Labels) to be crammed/squished. The Cards now look mediocre and the Slicer looks terrible. There was some Power BI Service update late last week that caused this. Below snapshots show BEFORE and AFTER. Such a small change is causing basically all the cards in all my reports to look squished and not good.

After installing the October 2021 update of Power BI Desktop, the layout in the Model view is messed up. The positions of tables in the model view are not situated as it was in the last configuration.

Over the past couple of days a number of our users are experience issues where a Power BI reprot in a published app is not loading visuals until the web browser is refreshed. These are reports which have been used daily for months with no loading issues until this week.

Hi Everyone Is anyone experiencing slow dataflow refreshes? Since this morning, I have a dataflow that is taking very long to refresh. I haven't edited the dataflow for at least a month and it has been working fine up to now. A simple text-inputed table (4 rows, 2 columns) took 15 minutes to update. Another similar table took 27 minutes to update. Both of these tables are not linked to an external data source and should usually take 30s to refresh. I cancelled the refresh after about 2h30. The dataflow was not even half-way through a refresh that normally takes 20 minutes. I aborted the second attempt at refreshing the dataflow after about an hour and the first table (text-inputed, 3 rows, 2 columns) had not yet refreshed.

Hi all, I exported report to PPT and there is now a page number in the report 21 of 25, etc. I don't want this in the PPT report and there is no way to remove it. Then i had to mannually remove the page number from all the page which is so annoying. Please advise how to remove/turn off this unnecessary feature. Thanks

Hi, I am unable to configure gateway connections for dataset for a pbix report uploaded. I have created data source connections prior to uploading the file. All the 23 data sources are on-prem. When I tried to apply the gateway connections (all have green check marks), I got this error message: I also noticed this banner. The dataset does not have any cloud data souces: Edit: @v-yetao1-msft I originally just uploaded the pbix file to the web portal. The file was built using the Power BI Desktop RS Jan 2022 version. Then I tried to open the pbix file in the RS Jan 2022 and published to our P1 capacity-backed workspace. The issue persists. Then I opened the file in Power BI Desktop Oct 2022 for powerbi.com version. I saved the file and published it again. The issue persists. Some of the data source connections are also used by other reports without an issue. The other connections were created just for this report. The connections are consisted of SQL servers and file shares. We have 2 windows 2016 VMs in a cluster to host the on-prem gateway. Version Aug 2022.

The past several days, we have been experiencing extreme model refresh times as well as a large number of failures. Models are taking 1-2 hours to refresh and often failing. These models usually take 5-15 minutes to refresh. This seems to be primarily limited to models connected to dataflows. Is anyone experiencing anything similar?? Most of our failures are returning a similar error message: The credentials provided for the PowerPlatformDataflows source are invalid. (Source at PowerPlatformDataflows.)

The (new) slicer is not responding i.e. clicking to select a different filter does not do anything. Left slicer is the old style which works fine and can be clicked on. Right slicer is the new style which cannot be clicked on. It works fine on the Desktop version. This happened last week, too, then it was fixed (by itself?) a day later. Tried to republish the report, reset slices etc. Still not working.

Hi all, as the title already describes, multiple users in our company (including myself) are experiencing that visuals are stuck in "active mode" (as in, when you click a visual it enables the "Filters on this visual" section in the filterpane and shows all icons of that visual). We started noticing this behavior as of this week both in PBI Desktop (and in Service) in mutiple reports that never displayed such behavior before. The behavior is slightly annoying in that one specific visual (seems random which one) on each page retains it's active state, no matter where you click to deselect this. Clicking a different visual will shift the active selection to that new visual, but clicking somewhere on the side outside of all visuals, defaults the selection back to that specific visual. It is therefore never possible to deselect all visuals. Among those reports are reports that have changed and reports that have not changed. Both types display this behavior. It would be nice to have this fixed. Cheers, Niels
