Power BI is experiencing a problem with WebView2 running Out of memory. We have identified some of the top causes of this and have the details below. If that does not address your Out of memory problem, contact us at pbidesktopwebview2issues@service.microsoft.com Out of Memory cause: Custom visuals causing memory leak - If you are using any custom visuals and are running into Out of Memory crahses, please try removing the custom visuals to check if it resolves the issue. If it does, please reach out with the visual which was cauing the memory leak so we can address it. If you are not using any custom visuals and are still running into this, it could be due to having a lot of report pages and visuals per page. This causes the browser heap memory to exceed the 4GB limit and crash. This is sadly a limitation of chromium. Possible workaround Limit the number of visuals in the report. The recommendation is to split the report into smaller reports and using cross-drillthrough - Use cross-report drillthrough in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs.The cross-drillthrough feature carries through filters when using cross drill through.

We have noticed that since the October 15th, we are no longer receiving emails with the map object animated on the report. When we access the report on cloud everything works well, also when we export the page using pdf format. This issue happens with all our reports. It seems to be a problem with the image format exportation.

I am using the PBI Desktop Version: 2.99.621.0 64-bit (November 2021) My power automate visual has suddenly stopped loading beyond this point. Is this issue faced by anyone else? I noticed this 2-3 days ago.

I am using the free, out-of-the-box ESRI ArcGIS map visual. I built this visual last year and had no trouble., so this isnt an RTFM situation. I opened the PBIX and the visual looks like it reset to defaults. Ok, stuff happens so I reconfigured it. Well, after saving and going back to the page with the visual, the defaults appear again. So, now, I have to publish the report (other changes were made) with an ESRI map that looks different because I cant preserve my changes. I'm going to guess I am the only person on the planet seeing this issue, but I'd figure I would reach out take a shot. TIA Power BI Frustration Level: HIGH

We are using PowerBI certified PowerKPI 2.0 in email subscription via pinning the live report to dashboard , it was working fine for couple of weeks before going all blank . It is very important dashboard and there is no default visual in powerbi to get both line and area charts together hence going for custom visual . Any help is appreciated TIA !!

Hi, When a custom visual is pinned to a dashboard tooltips are not displayed on mouse over, while native visuals can display their tooltips correctly. In all other contexts (included dashboard in focus mode) tooltips work as expected. We noticed this issue testing our custum visuals and also pinning to a dashboard the sampleBarChart visual provided by Microsoft. Debugging the code we noticed that the method visualhosttooltipservice.show() is called as usual in tooltipServiceWrapper.ts, but nothing is shown.

Sharepoint List - Integrate - Power BI - Visualize List ...then edit the Report and click "Get more Visuals" have no effect. Seems to be a bug, in Power BI Web it is still working

Hi! Since the Embedded Navigation Menu was fixed this last weekend, I have noticed anytime my mouse runs across the filter header icon on each visual, it open the filter menu. Seems like the filter head icon should be set up to show the filter menu when clicked on, not when the mouse hovers over it. If it is going to be set to where the menu shows on hover, then the number of milliseconds before the menu appears needs to be drastically increased, and I need to have the ability to turn that functionality off. Once the filter drop down menu appears, it does not go away. Click off the visual does not make it go away. Hovering over the visual or its head icon does not make it go away either. Below is a screenshot of a visual's filter menu appearing and not going away, even when I change the webpage to a completely different URL within PowerBI: This is the filter head icon's drop down menu that appears and does not go away. Lastly, in my attempt to try and fix the issue, I don't think any of my users utilize the drop down menu, nor majority of the header icons. It appears that another issue occurring is when I attempt to disable that particular header icon, the icon still shows despite its setting clearly being turned off. Along with the icon not disabling even when its setting is set to Disabled, the previously mentioned problem with the filter drop down menu not going away continues to occur.

So, after the August update this feature stoped working. I have attached pics below for better understanding. When i try to use the date filter> equals to > the date of today or any other date it is returning empty table, but the table is not empty. Something changed after the update because I use this feature all the time with no problems. Sorry in advance for bad screenshots, cant share all the data. This is my first time posting. What I get when i use = date date filter equals returns empty What it should return ( if i use this method it works) select the date manually returns the filtered information correctly

Hi Team, Suddenly, from last two days, the facet key visual is not working in online power BI app service as well as in any embedded power bi dashbaords. In Desktop Client, Now, the same report when published on the power bi app service, see screenshot below - Now, when i see in the console, i see some errors coming from the visuals TS file. Please look at this priority, I've demos coming up and i can not achieve something like what i can with Facet key visual. And being a paying customer, it doesnt feel nice when facing such issues without a notice or online event notice. @v-qiuyu-msft

The new Visualization pane in the NOV 2021 update does not allow the user to tie an action to a button. For instance, program a button with page navigation or bookmarks.

The Card Browser visual does not appear to respect the formatting of numeric fields. For example, I wanted to display the price of a product, along with other metadata values, when the card was in its flipped state. Even though the price was formatted as Currency in my model, the value was being displayed in the Card Browser as 19.99 and 60, instead of £19.99 and £60.00.

Hi, When you choose the auto on the display units in the indicator for the KPI visual, you it doesn't do anything to the indicator. You would have to choose thousands/millions manually which ruins the report, since the users are able to see data for days, months, years and so on. With Auto With Millions Is there a solution or is it a bug? Hi everyone, I've been using Map Shape Visuals in Power BI Desktop for a while and since there was a modification of the visualization pane I can't find the option to choose my saturation color and set saturation values. There are options to select the borders color, to select the empty zones color but no option to select the saturation color and values. I'm stuck with the default blue. Here are some screen shots from the old visualisation pane (2 pics on the left) and the new one (2 pics on the right) (in French). Since the most recent update, I've published a report that contains multiple cards with background colours that change based on conditional formatting. The colours appear on my desktop version, however when I published the report and went to view it online the colours aren't showing at all. This wasn't an issue until the most recent update. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have added different visuals one being the chiclet slicer, have it set up working fine build out various visuals for my report and if I hit undo it removes the chiclet slicer from being loaded into Power BI and that visual breaks. I have to reinstall and tell the visual it should be a chiclet slicer. When I go to reinstall it says it's already loaded, but it's not. This makes it not worth using any of the custom visuals, huge flaw!!

Hello All, As suggested by @amitchandak im reporting this as an issue. Im trying to format data labels that are already in %, to color negative numbers red and positive green. The selection of number and percentage is blocked, number is grayed out. I tried the solution below but does not work, it displays all numbers as red. I tried to do the same creating a card visual and trying exactly the same parameters that i used for the data labels (but in effect - background) works perfectly. I would appreciate if someone could help me with this issue. Thanks in advance I use Power Bi Desktop June 2022 version
