except function - "A table of multiple values was supplied where a single value was expected"

I am trying to use except function by following the instruction on this site, (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/except-function-dax).   

 I am using a simple excel ark with to arks,

Any idea what is wrong in these 2 columns since I get the erroe message, "A table of multiple values was supplied where a single value was expected"?

It is Tabel that should be used here and not Column. Sorry for the confusion. Case closed.
