broken gateway installer

I try to install on premise gateway on new windows 10 pro , i run installer  downloaded from powerbi.microsoft.com and get errors:

 yellow window with missing certificate for this exe and then window with error: Application pop-up GatewayInstall.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application.

this error doesnt even shows on windows 10 , there is only event in EventViewer->System. It shows only if I run installer in win8 compatiblity mode.

Hi,

I've exactly the same problem trying to install the On-premise data gateway on Windows 2016 server. Logfiles and other information have been send in PM to Qiuyun.

I am trying to install On Premise data gateway with Windows Server 2008 R2 and I cant find logfiles under my folder on C drive

but the .exe file will not even run...I get a box with this error

Thank you for the link @RadiantToxicBot that was the work-around solution for me - I'm up an running again. 

But an embarrassing story for the team responsible for the Gateway

I got information below: 

This is a direct link to the On-Prem Gateway (regular mode) that doesn't use the downloader. Please ask the customer if they can install successfully from this link:https://aka.ms/on-premises-data-gateway-installer

If issue persists, please collect the logs from Cx via: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\ and share them with us.

I tried the new link sent on 10.12.2018

Hi all, was facing similar issues and created a support ticket at Microsoft, had a quick response and temporary solution that worked for me: MS Link

If that doesn't work i uploaded myself as well: 30 days valid link (Hubic OVH)
