Visual header icons take up same space even with borders and backgrounds 'turned off'

Hi there,

We currently employ a style in Power BI that uses title text (10pt) with a simple dark grey background/bar for each visualization, and as the icons (allowing for background/border) don't fit within it height wise, the lower edge of each icon 'hangs' below the visual title/header bar. Would it be possible to add an option to properly 'turn off' the background and border for the visual header icons (as opposed to just making them transparent, as per the current options), and subsequently have Power BI respect the smaller space they take up within the title bar/background, leading to better spacing/alignment?

To demonstrate, this is how it appears with the background/border 'switched on' for each icon:

And with the icon background/borders 'off':

Ideally, the icons in the second example should be better aligned/fit to the title bar/background, given the icon borders/backgrounds are no longer visible.

Thanks.

Hi Qiuyun,

Thanks for the follow-up. Unfortunately I'm unable to use OneDrive for public sharing, but have uploaded an example file to Mega, so you should be able to download from there, thanks:

The issue in question applies to the first 3 visuals in this case ('Map', Line and clustered column chart' and 'Donut chart' respectively).

Hi @Abraxus

Please update Power BI desktop to the version 2.71.5523.821 64-bit (July 2019), then copy the problematic visual and paste it, the new visual will not have the same issue.

Hi @v-qiuyu-msft ,
Thanks again, unfortunately while that does fix another issue (the visual header tooltip, which previously didn't respect the colours chosen for the other visual header icons, but now does), the problem I'm referring to still features, as per the screenshots below:

Capture_2.PNG
Basically there's still no way to truly 'switch off' the visual header icon borders (or backgrounds), only make them completely transparent, thus Power BI still treats them as though they have the border/background in place in terms of spacing.

Regards.
