Updated personal gateway not working

Hi,

 

I get the following error message whn attempting to sign into the recently installed personal data gateway.

 

"Failed to update gateway details. Please try again.
This request operation sent to net.pipe://localhost/powerbi/personalgatewayconfiguration/service did not receive a reply within the configured timeout (00:01:00).  The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.  This may be because the service is still processing the operation or because the service was unable to send a reply message.  Please consider increasing the operation timeout (by casting the channel/proxy to IContextChannel and setting the OperationTimeout property) and ensure that the service is able to connect to the client.

I've tried unistalling the gateway & re-installing, now out of ideas & can no longer refresh any data in the service!

Hi @bonsaimad,

 

1. Check if your environment needs the use of a proxy. If it does, please follow this article to configure proxy for data gateway-personal mode: Configuring proxy settings for the On-premises Data Gateway.

 

2. If the issue still occurs, please use fiddler to monitor HTTP traffic and share .saz file with us.
