From the description, it seems that the error occurs when you get data from SQL database in Power BI desktop, right? Did you get data in Import mode or DirectQuery mode?

Yes, the error is received when I try to direct query/import the data from SQL Server to Power Bi desktop.

The link you have provided me is for Excel 2013 and that is not useful for the problem i have here.
