Unable to update salesforce data in Power BI reports

I published reports a few days ago in Power BI. My data comes from salesforce. My reports in salesforce display different results in Power BI. Every time I update the tables in PowerBI Desktop: PowerBI Desktop è Refresh è Publish, I need to update the tables for my online results to be good.

I have set up the automatic refresh of my reports, but I notice that the data in Power BI does not change with changes in Salesforce.

Hi @Anonymous,

From your description, it looks like the report showed the correct after you refreshed the report in Power BI desktop but not in Power BI service, right?

When you refreshed the dataset in Power BI service, was the refresh completed successfully? You can go to Dataset Settings -> Refresh History section check it. If the refresh is successful, please access the report in Power BI service, compare it with the report which is refreshed in Power BI desktop at the same time.

Hi @Anonymous,

Please republish the report to Power BI service, and then do refresh both in Power BI service and desktop to see if the issue still occurs.

Hi, were you able to find a solution? I've used the Salesforce connector but I had some issues updating my data too. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:

There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor.  Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
