Unable to sign in to Power BI Desktop

Error message -
sorry, we encountered an error while trying to sign you in. Details: One or more errors occurred.

 

Tried disabling firewall and antivirus and relaunched, but no luck. 

 

I checked the trace logs as well, it says -
The browser based authentication dialog failed to complete. Reason: The server or proxy was not found

 

 

PowerBI Service works fine though. I would really appreciate your help.

Tried changing the default browser to internet explorer. Again, no luck.

 

PowerBI Service works fine though. I would really appreciate your help.

Hi @vlengure,

 

Please check if you are able to sign in Power BI service in browser on the same machine which has Power BI desktop installed. 

 

Please try to run the latest Power BI desktop version.

Hi Qiuyun,

Yes, I am able to sign in to Power BI service on the same machine that has Power BI installed but has issues launching problem.
