Unable to see On Premise Gateway

I have added a second On Premise Data Gateway to an Azure VM.  The Gateway successfully installed using the same credentials as the original Gateway that is working.  The new Gateway is not visible in Power BI in the Manage Gateway area.  Not sure why this is the case.

Hi,

Do you mean you added a gateway under the original gateway to create a gateway cluster? If so, you won’t see the second gateway in the Manage Gateway area, you can refer to this link:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-high-availability-clusters

I added a new gateway expecting to see it a second cluster. We don't know the recovery key to the original cluster. We want to move the gateway to a new vm and eventually delete the original gateway.

Hi,

If you have forgot the recovery key of the first gateway, I think you should create a new gateway independly instead of restoring it in the new VM.

Thank you very much!

That is what we did. It's installed on a different VM altogether.
