Unable to republish report to service

Hi there,

From last month I am facing problem in re-publishing report. After any changes in development , I tried publishing report then first of all, 

1. In Power BI Desktop, automatically  signing- out me

2. I am getting an error, with command prompt and Power BI Desktop closed

3. When I am trying to republish it , I am not able to publish it with the same name .

4. If I change name of the file I am able to Publish it.

But  how many time I have to change the name and share it with all?

Hi @Anonymous,

The issue described in screenshot has been reported before internally: CRI 58661945. The fix will be released on desktop March version. I notice there is a new version release( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=45331 ), please update desktop version then test again. 

Regarding the issue you can't republish report but need to rename report then publish, is there any error displays. Please test within new desktop version see if the issue persists.

The problem is fixed in New version of PBI Desktop
