Unable to manage reports with an apostrophe in the name

We are on March 2018 version of Power BI Report Server.   When a user saves a report with an apostrophe in the name ("Today's Sales" for example) we are unable to mange it through the Power BI Report Server web portal.  We can still view the report through the web portal and mobile app without issue, however when we click the 3 dots on the report to manage security/other properties it gives us "An error has occurred. Something went wrong. Please try again later."

Hi @bender2996,

 

Based on my test with the latest Power BI Report Server version 15.0.2.389, it's able to manage the report named with apostrophe. Please update the report server then test again.

I'm seeing this issue in 15.0.2.389.

 

Clicking the ellipsis on a report tile fails to bring up the context menu - the call to the underlying API fails due to the apostrophe in the name.

 

The work around is to directly key in the url of the manage screen e.g.:

 

http://bireport/reports/manage/catalogitem/properties/Folder/My'%20Report.

 

@v-qiuyu-msft suggest you expand your test case to include this use case.
