Tooltip overflowing on side of screen

When hovering in certain places in the screen, the report tooltip sometimes is cut off and overflows off the screen.

It seems the tooltip isn't clever enough to adjust position to show either left or right

Is this something known?

I think that is referring to the way that tooltips are disappearing immediately on hover.
I feel this issue of overflow has been around for a while now

It can be recreated with any tooltip page that is larger than half of the screen (either width or height).

I can't send one as it contains sensitive data

Would you please use some dummy data to create a simple report which can be used to reproduce the issue?

Cool thats done now @v-qiuyu-msft- data and report style are nonsense but perfectly illustrates my point.

When hovering on the AAA bar - you can see that it overflows off the side.

I would expect PBi to be smart enough to adjust the positioning of the Tooltip

Hi @Anonymous,

You can change the report page "Tooltip Page" Page Size Type as Tooltip. Before changing this option, please decrease the visual size on "Tooltip Page" page then move them to most left side. Otherwise, you might need to re-add these visuals into the report.

Yes, if the you would like to display much more information, I would suggest you use Drill Through feature, which you can drill from summarized page to detail page to see more information: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-drillthrough
