Tile Card Alerts Send Duplicate Alert Emails

As I understand what the functionality should be: Once selected, the alert should only send one alert iteration after the dataset is refreshed only.

 

Context

  • The underlying dataset refrshed between 7:30- 7:36 AM EST.
  • I had "At most once an hour," selected.
  • Alerts were sent at 7:36 AM EST as well as 9:22 AM EST
  • The dataset had no other refresh during this timeframe

May I know how many notifications you received in your Power BI notification center about data alerts?

How you set your alert for your tile and the refresh policy for your dataset?

Did you set additional alert on it?

Could you test again to see whether this issue will keeping happening?

Happy to give you more info:

 

  • I believe I recieved two alerts as well, but I'm not 100% on that

    Refresh for the Dataset was scheduled and refreshed at 7:30 AM EST

  • I did not set an additional alert
  • Same issue seems to occur

Thanks for your reply! I understand. Please consider creating a support ticket for such issue in Power BI support if you are a Pro user. Then, there will be a support engineer help you troubleshoot on it. For how to create support ticket, please refer to this blog.
