Text filter compatibility with Edge browser - stops working after 30 seconds

I have a simple dashboard with a table, a chart and a text filter.  Text filter (downloaded from Marketplace) works fine in PBi Desktop all the time.  I publish my dashboard and view the report in Edge (Microsoft Edge 42.17134.1.0, Microsoft EdgeHTML 17.17134).  The text filter initially works as expected.  After 30 - 60 seconds, the text filter stops accepting input.  If I have multiple PBi reports open in Edge, each with text filters, after 30 - 60 seconds, all text filters in all reports stop accepting input.  Refreshing the Edge browser seems to temporarily restore text filter functionality until 30 - 60 seconds pass, and again the text filter stops accepting input.

 

If I open the PBi report in Chrome (Version 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit)), text filter works as expected for as long as my PBi report is open.
