Table Reports with Several Measures Error Out Power BI Desktop Live Connect to SSAS Tabular 2014

I am experencing an error when i try to add measures to a deep heirarchy on table  using a Power BI with a Live Conenction to ssas tabular.  The same report works very quickly using an Excel connected to the same SSAS Tabular Cube.  
 
The table report usese a heirarchy that is 6 Levels deep and results in 150-200 rows.  When i have a few measures it will run quicly. However once i add more than 3 or 4 measures the report  will crash resulting in the error message below.  I have tried the report using Power BI Desktop with a Live Connection to a Local instance of SSAS tabular and on PowerBI.com using a gateway to the same instance of SSAS Tabular.  
 
When i upload a smaller version of the model directly to Power BI the report works just fine.  For varisous reasons this does not neem to be an option at this point. Does anyone have any ideas why this would not work.

Hi @Anonymous,

It looks like the issue only happens in Power BI desktop instead of Power BI service, right? 

Please update the Power BI desktop to the latest version and use 64 bit if possible. 

If issue still occurs, is it possible to share .abf file of this tabular database? If it is, you can upload it to your OneDrive and send the share link to me via private message.
