Today I downloaded and installed the December release of Desktop 64-bit, when I start the program I am getting the error "array dimensions exceeded support range".  Any idea on how to resolve this?

I cannot update the gateway until Monday because we will need to log a Change Control.  Adding details from the Error Message.

Hi @Anonymous,

Have you tried tips in my previous post?

There is a new Power BI desktop version 2.65.5313.701 released, you can try this version to see if the same issue occurs.

Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu

I tried all of your suggestions.  It is not a gateway problem because my team has upgraded to the December version with out an issue.  I just installed the December release from the link you provided and I am still getting the same error - SOmething went wrong - "Array dimensions exceed supported range".  Could there be a problem with the .Net Framework on my computer that is throwing this error.

Hi @Anonymous,

You can try to repair .NET on your machine: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/install/repair

If issue persists, I would suggest you create a support ticket to let engineers look into the issue on your side.

Hello,

My customer is having the exact same issue, using the 2.94.921.0 64-bit (June 2021) version.

Have the above issues been fixed somehow?

We've tried to repair both Power BI Desktop and the .NET framework but it didn't help.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Cheers,

Guillaume
