Stacked columns chart inconsistencies due to limit color?!

We came across a problem if we displaying "stacked columns". It seems there is a limited number of colors possible. If the limit is reached the remaining values are not displayed any longer.

So you get a chart which does not reflect the whole values correct/complete. Technically it is understandable but we expect a warning that the data are inconsistent if you reach the color limit. Is this problem known? Is there a solution?

@JohannesJ,

How do you create the stacked column chart? Could you please share sample data of your table for me to test?

Regards,
Lydia

Hi Lydia,

thanky for your answer. I show you two screenshots to visualize my problem a litlle.
I hope it is more clear with this pictures:

My original chart looks like that:

Correct view with a small number of categories (needs only 6 colors)

PBI 1.PNG

Another (wrong) view with the same values but another legend with a large number of categories (needs a lot of colors - more than possible?):

PBI 2.PNG

Now you see the problem = we dont have the complete sum on the y-axis.

Thank you for your help!

Johannes
