Sequence contains no matching element

Greeted this morning with data refresh errors.

I went into Power Query and removed the offending step (so I thought).

Clicked "Close and Apply" and the query:

- Evaluated

- Loaded data to the model

- Just about the time the final row count was reached and I thought I was good, I wasn't and received "Sequence contains no matching element" error message.

Details below.

Turns out error was misleading. It was a date format error in different table which casued chain reaction

This error so far has been due to:

1: Duplicate rows in a field used as a primary join

2: a date format error in different table which casued chain reaction

It seems this is a new bug in the February 2021 version.  Specific error messages are not coming through.

We encountered this problem, it was due to a Date table being on the 'one' side of a one-many join, but it had duplicate rows which Power BI didn't like. When I disabled the load of the date table, all the other queries connected properly and applied changes.

We're on February 2021 version which as has been suggested, isn't passing through proper error codes.
