Scheduled Dataset refresh failed due to Invalid credentials in powerbi online

dear support team,

we experience a strange behavior in PowerBI service. When a refresh of a dataset is scheduled, it fails. on the other hand, when the same dataset is refreshed manually, the refresh succeed.

here is a detail of the failed dataset log :

Hi,

According to the error message, it seems to be the data source credential error which leads to the refresh error. I think you can go the the dataset setting-> Edit credential to update all the credentials for this dataset and make sure they are correctly configured.

why should I update the credentials since they work when the dataset is refreshed manually?

Hi, 

If your dataset refresh only failed when it’s scheduled, I think it may be related to the scheduled refresh time of your dataset. If your interactive and background operations are too dense in the scheduled time, your dataset refresh will fail because of the lack of resources. I think you can try to set the refresh time to the free time like midnight and check if it can refresh successfully.
