Salesforce custom domain login issue

Anyone having an issue connecting to Salesforce objects connector with a custom domain login?

I am able to get logged in with the popup window, but it never releases back to Power BI Desktop.

I have tried to do this with Power BI Service and found in the popup window there is an extra dialog checkbox that then transistions to accepting a peermissions item.  (Sorry not able to replciate sine logging to capture.

Is there a way to change the preferred browser login for the Power BI connector?  Is this Salesforce, Power BI or my companies SSO?  How do I diag this and with who?

Signing in to a custom or sandbox domain isn't currently supported. See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-connect-to-salesforce#system-requirements-and-considerations

Funny how the connector allows for both.  And what is supported verse what is possible is typically miles a part.  So you are say there is no option here at all?
