Role Level Security not Functioning in Service

Hello,

I am working on Role Level security using the Dynamic function "Userprincipalname()" based on a column with manager's emails in all associated roows of data. It wirks great in Power Bi Desktop, but when published in the Cloud Service it does not operate as it should.  When I test as Role and enter a user's information when assigned as a manager in the in the role options it does not filter the data down, or it give me no data.

If there are any ideas please assist.

Thank you,

Nick Patel

@Anonymous ,

Currently there's a known issue of RLS, please refer to doc below:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-rls#limitations

The workaround is to republish the report to power bi service again.

Jimmy Tao
