Republish report to service from desktop is not showing republished version but showing old report

Title : republish is not replacing the old file with new one 

when i republish the report after some changes to report, 1st it asks for replace permission, when i click yes, it shows publish was successful, but when i go to power bi online report is still the old one.

this is happening when data soure is power bi service, rest other datasource it's working fine.

tried with dummy/simple workspace and dataset and when try to use this data via data service, issue is still present

I tested it successfully without any issues.

1. What kind of changes did you make? 

2. Did you refresh the report in the Service?

3. Desktop will prompt "replace the REPORT".

4. What's the source of the dataset in the Service.

5. There are also a few limitations. Please refer to desktop-upload-desktop-files#re-publish-or-replace-a-dataset-published-from-power-bi-desktop.
