Refresh issue

We have several reports in powerbi using scheduled refreshing. Which apparently only allows 8 occassions.
That is not the issue, but still quite annoying.
But when we refresh our reports manually, it takes severe less time, than when the automatic refreshing schedule does it. How can this be? An example would be a report that takes 1 minute to refresh, when you click the 'Refresh now' button on the dataset. But it takes around 15 minutes to complete, when it refreshes with the schedule refresher.

Hi @manan17,

On Power BI, shared capacity refresh rate is 8/day, in premium capacity, it's 48/day. In your scenario, you can consider purchasing premium capacity: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-premium

The reason scheduled refresh might be slower than manual refresh is because we spread the schedule refresh requests out to not overload Engine at the same time. For example, many users will use default 8 AM refresh time when enabling schedule refresh. Our Engine will be flooded with requests at 8 AM, and won't be able to process all refresh requests successfully due to memory and computing pressure. So please check if there are many datasets configured to refresh at the same time.

Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
