Publishing report with same name to workspace returns error

Message reads:

Couldn't publisn to Power BI

An error occurred while attempting to publish "xxxx": Unable to write data to the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

I has this problem about a year ago already and it was fixed back then but now it's coming up again. I'm the owner of both report version by the way.

Status: Investigating

When cannot publish to Power BI Service, you can consider:

  1. Your local network works fine
  2. You have signed in the corresponding accounts in Power BI Desktop to publish reports to the workspaces in Power BI Service
  3. Try to publish to different workspaces to check it again
  4. Sometime it could be a temporary issue in Power BI Service server that you can try to publish reports in other time ranges to check it again
