Problems logging into the power bi developer area

Hi,

I am trying to log into the power bi developer center - https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/developers/.    This page actually comes up when I enter the URL however once I sign in it shoots me over to the power bi service location - https://app.powerbi.com/home.     Where did the developer center go?   What am I doing wrong?

Also when I try to report an issue the Microsoft logic pushes me to a page Issues > Issues > New Idea?    Is this some kind of AI working in the background?

Hi @ajp1

The Sign in button in the URL you provided (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/developers/) is for us to sign in Power BI service. The Power BI Developer Center page lists many information related to the Power BI developer features, you can click on each tab or Learn More to see details.

Not sure it's the AI feature, but something should be defined in the backend to guide us to report an issue when we meet a issue. If you think the issue is a bug or service interruption, you can report it in Issues forum

Hi Qiuyun,

Thank you for the response.     I guess I should have been more specific.

I am currently taking an edX course titled  - DAT207x: Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI (course published 2017).     In this course one of the later chapters talks about the Power BI Developer Center which presents information on the Power BI Rest API.    This page shows a button titled 'Get Started Now' where the user can interactively enter Rest commands against their workspaces / tables etc.      Where did the functionality behind this button go?       I want to be able to interactively enter Rest commands, and I don't see this capability on the Power BI service page (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/).

Print screen out of the edX DAT207x course.

Hi @ajp1

It looks like the UI of this site (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/developers/) is changed. For this issue, I would suggest you send a email to this address to get help: PBICommunityAdmin@microsoft.com

Hello @ajp1  & @v-qiuyu-msft

The email listed above, 'PBICommunityAdmin@microsoft.com' is not actually the correct contact information because that is for community support, not product or development support. Please make a post in the 'Developer' board here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Developer/bd-p/Developer
