Problem on Choropleth map find State but Map works

I found a problem in the Map x Chloropetic Map: the State of Pará in Brazil is not located in the Map view, but in the Chloropetic Map it is not located.

The view I use since 2020 and since 07/02 presents this problem. It is recommended to use the name "Para" but it doesn't work anymore. Only works in Map.

Anyone could help this problem?

Hi,

According to your sample data, I can reproduce the problem the same as yours:

But after my research of the filled map visual in the Power BI, I found that it seems to be a limitation referred to in the official document:

Therefore, I think it’s better if you can add the latitude and longitude data in the dataset to make the state easier to be recognized by the Power BI.

Thank you very much!

Hi @Anonymous ,

I'm having the same problem here.

Hi, @v-robertq-msft

I've tried to use latitude and longitude, but it got worse.

Instead of showing all brazilian states, the map goes completely blank.

When I drag the lat and long data to its specific fields, PBI calculates them as 'average' (see below) and doesn't give me the option 'Don't summarize'.

I've tried addding a hierarchy to the "Location" field, but it got even worse. Despite succeeding on finding the country territory, the map got lost when drilled down expanding all the field one level below.

The map mistakely labeled the State of Minas Gerais (located in Southeast region) as "State of Tocantins" (located in North region).
