Problem creating DataMarts in Premium Capacity Workspace

I've made sure that datamarts are enabled for our organization through the tenant settings. I have also made sure I am using a v2 workspace that is enabled for Premium Per Capacity. Yet when I try to make a datamart I get this error:

Issue is resolved by enabling Premium Gen 2 for the target workspace capacity.

I found out our capacity wasn't enabled for Premium Gen2 in 'Capacity Settings' in the Admin Portal.
