PowerBI premium not working with Composite Models + RLS

Since upgrading to the latest PowerBI release, when I upload a model with mixed mode and RLS, the model doesn't work in PowerBI embedded with premium capacity anymore.

 

The same model is working fine in a standard app workspace.

Hi @Anonymous,

 

What do you mean about "PowerBI embedded with premium capacity"? 

 

Which data source do you get data from? Do you use any gateway? 

 

Does all workspace member have the same issue or only happens to members who belong to the RLS role?

Premium Capacity is a model where I pay for dedicated capacity and then can use PowerBI embedded to provide reports to users outside my organization:

This happens to all users, regardless of embedded usage or role, also the owner, in the PowerBI service.

 

We are using Redshift as datasource in 'Dual' mode.

Hi @Anonymous,

 

I find the same issue has been reported internally: CRI 94275829. 

 

The only known workaround currently is to use Shared capacity (vs Premium).

Did this ever get fixed?

We have a report with one Import and several direct queries in a premium capacity workspace. It was refreshing ok up till 4 May 2019. But since then it fails every day. We have a premiere support call open. The report refreshes ok if in standard worspace or "My Workspace".

Yes, it did get resolved. Still, I have two acknowledged tickets open regarding refresh from Redshift, one regarding incremental refresh and one regarding table size limitations. Without information from the error message, hard to tell what the source of your problem is.
