PowerBI desktop canvas not working for RDP with the new June update

For certain reasons, we've installed PowerBI desktop on Win2016 servers where users use RDP to connect. With the new update (June) this is no longer possible as the canvas is unworkable as it is doing some kind of a zoom effect.

Would you please clarify the "the canvas is unworkable as it is doing some kind of a zoom effect"? 

 

Here is a new Power BI desktop version 2.70.5494.761 released yesterday, please update your Power BI desktop to this latest version then test again. 

 

Also please check if the machine meets the minimum requirements for Power BI desktop: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-get-the-desktop#minimum-requirements

It's running on a vm server 2016 and the requirements are met. It's hard to explain how it acts. Initially you see the whole canvas. but when you start hovering on an area, a smaller resolution of the same area appears elsewhere in the canvas. And this newly appearing area is the active area that you need to work with. So, kind of having picture in picture, or the opposite of the Zoomit app of the sysinternal tools.
