PowerBI Desktop is constantly running out of memory, and failing Outof Memory exception.

Hi

I'm running on an Azure VM with 64 GB of memory.

Nothing is running on this machine other than PowerBI desktop.

My project loads data from the Common Data Service (Dynamics) and an Azure SQL database.

My project was running with no problem up to two months ago when I last opened it in PowerBI desktop and then it was only on a 32 GB machine, and the same project still runs fine when published to the PowerBI Service.

But when I attempt to refresh the data on PowerBI Desktop, it takes quite a long time, and you can see the machine memory being gobbled up, till it reaches around 60GB or so, then everything starts failing with Out of memory exception.

Strangely in the Process View of Task Manager, the process, is only using around 5GB.  Not sure where the rest is going but it feels like a memory leak somewhere.

Found this in the System Event Log

Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: Microsoft.Mashup.Container.NetFX45.exe (4256) consumed 13976326144 bytes, Microsoft.Mashup.Container.NetFX45.exe (6476) consumed 12268552192 bytes, and Microsoft.Mashup.Container.NetFX45.exe (8804) consumed 12190089216 bytes.

Are there any logs I can send you, or tools I can run to give you more information?

This is having a major impact, as we committed to delivering some work based on this project and now can't proceed further.

Thanks for your help
