PowerBI Desktop and Google Analytics Connection Issue

Hello,

We are having some trouble connecting PowerBI to GA, whereby the error (after log in) reads:

"This browser or app may not be secure.

Try using a different browser. If you’re already using a supported browser, you can refresh your screen and try again to sign in."

The problem/solution may be similar to this https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Developer/Unable-to-connect-to-Google-Analytics/m-p/1787770, however I have tried to change the windows default browser and disabled ‘less secure apps’ security on the account to no avail.

Would you mind taking a look please? Perhaps PowerBI may need reinstalling or something more technical (see bottom solution here https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Unable-to-connect-to-Google-Analytics/m-p/1876116)

Many thanks,

Jasper

Hi, were you able to find a solution? As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your GA account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA fields:

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
