PowerBI Desktop Fails at launch

I've installed PowerBI  Desktop version 2.93.981.0 on a Windows 2008 R2 server that is being used as remote desktop for Mac users.

I get this error when Iaunch it:

 

"Error Message:
AS Process PID=3316 has exited with ExitCode=-1073741511, ExitTime=2021-06-06T12:34:19.5339695-07:00"

 

I've tried both 64bit and 32Bit versions with the same result.

 

Thinking it's related to the OS version.  Any other ideas/solutions?

Hi, @rmarshallTS 

As far as I’m concerned, if you want to install the Power BI desktop to be used as a remote desktop for Mac users, you should have the Windows Server 2012 R2 or later version. This is explained in the official document:
