Hi

Yesterday my Power BI stopped working and refreshing and all my reports dissapeared, I updated my gateway and managed to upload a refreshed version. Now I am getting the below, can anyone help?

Hi @MartekABC123

In Power BI service, please go to Dataset Settings and find the dataset, go to Data Source Credentials tab, click on Edit Credentials for the OData data source to reenter the valid credential, then refresh the dataset again.

Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu

Hey @MartekABC123 ,

Did this work for you?

Why is this an issue? We set these to automatically refresh so we don't have to babysit them. IBM's Web Query doesn't require this much attention, nor does Tableau. What's with this, Microsoft?

We had this issue with Power BI embedded with datasets connected to Tabular. The issue occured because the user that owned the Power BI datasets had his o365 account deactivated. To resolve the issue we went to the dataset settings and pressed the "Take Over" button with an active account.

The error messages we received were not very helpful - the only thing they did was help us find this post

Hello,

This seems so simple.

Can you please share a screen shot of how to find the: "...Go to Data Source Credentials tab..."

I cannot locate it.

Thanks

@jhad7010 Next to the dataset, you'll see icons, including what appears as a file folder, when you hover over the title.

Click that folder, and the Settings page for that data is displayed. Data Source Credentials is about halfway down the list.

Hope that helps!

Try Setting your Gateway first. Then set the credentials.
