Power BI embedded in Sharepoint site not granting access

Users with access to a Power BI app are unable to view a report from that app when it is embedded in a Sharepoint site.  If users are admins, members, contributors or viewers of the app's workspace in Power BI, they are able to see it.  But even if they have permission to view the app and the link used to embed the report is the app's link (not the link to the report in the workspace), they are unable to view it.  The embed frame presents the "It looks like you don't have access to this report" page.

Note that these users can see the report in Power BI, and I can link directly to the report (the app version) from Sharepoint, and all users with permissions to the app can see the report.  It's just when it is embedded with the Sharepoint Power BI widget that certain users are unable to see the report embedded in the Sharepoint site.

@andrewbrick

A similar issue has been reported internally. There is no ETA as to when this will be fixed. As a workaround please consume the report in powerbi through the app.

@v-chuncz-msft Is this issue also the reason why I am unable to connect to a Sharepoint folder (error on the image) and as well as an Excel file on Sharepoint (unable to authenticate using Windows and Organizational Account.
