Power BI cannot convert to integer from Oracle

Hey,

We are bringing in an integer from Oracle, but the power query always recognizes it as a decimal number. We already tried to use the CAST ( #number as INT ), TO_INT, TRUNC and TO_NUMBER Oracle functions in the view, but it didn't work.
The customer wants to avoid any transformation on the power bi side.
The connection it uses is Oracle Database.

Hi @gavb_rafaela

Did you restart your Desktop and then connect to Oralce again ?

Hi @gavb_rafaela

You can choose Never detect column types and headers for unstructured sources in Options => GLOBAL => Data Load .  Then restart your Desktop , you will find that Power Query will not transform your data .

Hi @AilsaTaoYe,
Thanks for the help, but I just disabled it and it still has decimal type.

Hi @v-yetao1-msft

Yes, I already restarted, made a new connection in Power BI and it still doesn't recognize the type.

Is there a solution for this problem? We are experiencing the same issue and doing a conversion at PBI side causes folding to fail and increases CPU consumption at PBI side.

Hi @v-yetao1-msft ,

Have we found a working solution for this as we're still facing this issue. Thanks
