Power BI Service metadata inaccessible error

Hi,

I am facing an issue while loggin to my power bi account. The error I see when I enter "app.powerbi.com" in any browser is :

 

Something went wrong.
Please try again later.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Power BI was unable to read the application metadata. Please check the Power BI service status in the below support page and try again later.
 
I was able to login to my service and workspaces till yesterday. Today i am facing this issue and many of my report users are also facing the same issue.

Hello,

We disabled SSL inspection as suggested but power BI service is still not available.

Error message still the same with Metadata.

We are not using zScaler but Bluecoat.

Any help will be appreciate.

Hi All,

 

We are able to login to service portal after updating the policy of ZScaler to allow power bi site API calls.

Same issue here. trying to setup enterprise gateway and configuration failed. 

unable to reach metadata. we are not using zscalar and firewall team not seeing any blocking.

created support ticket as well!

This error started today for me. I can't log into the Power BI Online Service. It just takes me straight to this error url and error page. I updated my browser a couple of days ago but it does not work on any browser that I use.

I'd also like to report having this issue. It's happening to external users across different enviroments and systems. I do not think it's related to the TLS 1.2 change mentioned earlier in this thread and I've ecountered this on systems that do not use SSL decryption.

The report was published under my workspace and it require pro license to access the content. However we have assigned pro license and having the same issue.

Below solution is reolved the issue:

Azure admin removed the account from Azure AD

Add it back & it workded!

Note: Take a note of all assigned AD groups for the user before you remove it.
