Power BI Report Builder connect to Oracle database

Could anyone please help in providing the step by step guide to connect Oracle data source through Power BI report builder. I have requirement to get the data from database table and build the report using input parameters then publish it to Power BI Service. When user will enter the input parameters the report will display that data directly from database table. Appreciate any help.

Hi @Anonymous,

1. In Power BI report builder, create a data source which uses Oracle data source connector.

2. Create a dataset based on the data source created in above step, you can write query to retrieve data.

3. To create parameters follow this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-builder-parameters

Do we need to install only the ODAC 12.2c (I already did this),

or do we need to install ORACLE Client 32bit + 64bit on the Gateway server ?

Thanks
