Power BI Desktop slow to sign in causing issues opening PBIX files that connect to Power BI datasets

Hi,

When I open Power BI desktop it can take several seconds to sign me in.  This is causing issues when I open a PBIX file that connects to a Power BI dataset by double clicking the file.  It looks like it tries to connect to the dataset before it's finished signing me in and therefore prompts me to sign in again.  This has a knock on effect when the dataset itself connects to an Azure Analysis Services model.

 

Is this a known issue, please?

I tried the latest version to create a report and it seems to work fine for me.

This was fixed in the May 2021 version of Power BI Desktop
