Power BI Desktop August - Something Went Wrong

After upgrading to the August version of Power BI Desktop (2.72.5556.801 64-bit), I am getting the following error when attempting to do pretty much anything (e.g. import an Excel file, create a new DAX measure in one of my previously created PBIX files, etc.):

Error1.jpg

Error2.jpg

Can anyone help me understand what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks,

Jim

Hi @jimbucks

I tested in Power BI desktop version 2.72.5556.801 64-bit (August 2019), imported an Excel file, or created a new DAX measure in one of my previously created PBIX files, but notable to reproduce the issue.

Not sure if the issue related to a specific Excel file or pbix file. If you could share some sample Excel or pbix file with us, it would be benefit for us to reproduce the issue.

Hi @v-qiuyu-msft,

Thanks for reaching out.  I've rolled back to the July version because I needed to get some things done.  Once I upgrade to the August version again, what's the best way to share a sample file with you without it being public?

Thanks,

Jim
