Postgre Connection error (ODBC)

Hi,

I'm trying to connect POSTGRE with PowerBI. B

Because policies' client, I can't install the recommended driver: https://github.com/npgsql/Npgsql/releases

So, acording to my requirements the connection that I need to use is ODBC. I have found this solution on Internet: http://niftit.com/connecting-power-bi-to-postgresql/  but when I try to connect this error appears:

borrar.png

TRANSLATION: CAN NOT CONNECT

AN ERROR FOUND WHEN CONNECTED

Details: "ODBC: AN ERROR WAS PRODUCED, BUT THERE IS NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE FROM THE ERROR."

What can cause this issue and how can I solve it?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi @Anonymous,

From the blog you shared, the author installs psqlODBC driver before using ODBC data source in Power BI desktop. Have you installed this driver? If not, please download and install it here: https://odbc.postgresql.org/
