Make a setting for Custom Connector Path

Hi!

How does Power BI know where custom connectors are located?

There is no setting for this point.

As result I have broken this feauture by installing third-party developed connector and now I can't see a connectors those were developed by myself.

It would be great if you add an opportunity to set the path to connectors from PBI desktop interface.

Thanks in advance,

Alex.

P.S.  Please explain me how I can see a path where Power BI desktop finds custom connectors

Hi @rcyber ,

This blog shows that developer should copy the *.mez file from Bin Folder > project folder >Debug into a folder in My Documents. And the folder name should be exactly defined as below which can be recognized by Power BI desktop.

Microsoft Power BI Desktop\Custom Connectors

For your requirement that "add an opportunity to set the path to connectors from PBI desktop interface", I would suggest you submit an idea here.

Best regards,

Yuliana Gu
