Losing 'export data' option when publishing report to app

We're losing 'export data' option when report is published to app.

 

This is the scenario:

1. 'Export data' option is available in Power BI Desktop

2. Report is published to workspace. Checking from the workspace in Power BI portal - 'Export data' option is available

3. Updating app to make report available for the users. Checking from the app in Power BI portal - 'Export data' option is not available anymore

 

Can you advise, why this is happening and how to fix?

 

We have many similar reports published to app and 'export data' option is available

Hi @krisgold

 

Please go to the app workspace, find the report which end users doesn't see the Export Data option. Then check the Export Data settings:

Also please check if the Export Data option is available for users in Admin Portal.

When checking report settings, then Export data is enabled

I do not have access to tenant settings, but all the other reports allow data export. Problem is with one specific report. I can export data from the workspace, but not from the app.

Hi @krisgold

 

You can contact the Power BI admin to check that setting. Also you can check if this user can see Export Data option when he/she view other apps.
