Line Chart Forecast Throws An Error On Power BI Online Service

Hello Team,

 

I have a simple line chart that shows sales for the last three years and then I added the trend line from the analytics tab and

I also have added a forecast trend line. It was working for the last two weeks then suddenly, it stopped working,  get this error below:-

If I download the report to my computer, and use power bi desktop app, the line chart works just fine, the forecast works and I don't get any error, it only stopped working on the cloud service in Power BI this morning.

 

I am thinking this is a bug, I also have used a different dataset completely and tried replicating the issue and the line chart right away throws an error when I try to add the forecast line. The trend line is fine, its the forecast that drives the entire visual to throw an error and fail to display result.

 

Note: I do have a Power BI Pro license

 

Any suggestions please!

Status: Delivered

Currently this issue should be fixed already in Power BI Service as far as I know and test, please check it again.

Hello.  I have the same issue.  Line chart with forecast.  As I publish it to the Power BI service the visual breaks.

I have the exact same issue here. On the Desktop version it works ok but online not

Same issue 

In PowerBI desktop no problem only online dashboard has the issue !

Good day, I have the same problem and more than 90 boards published with these visual forecast objects. HELP!!

 

In the line chart visuals that include forecast NO data is displayed in PowerBI web. In the Desktop version of PowerBI all data and forecast type analysis of these visual objects are displayed correctly.

Hello, we are nearing a week since this broke, and as an organization that depends heavily on the Power BI platform, I expected to see some kind of rapid response to something that is so easy to reproduce. Instead, the only response I have seen is a slow acknowlegement about the issue, a mention that it has been pushed upstream, without any furhter updates since.

Also, and in anticipation to seeing this fixed, I certainly hope that we don't have to re-pin any visuals on dashboards that consume them, once they are working again. That would equate to a lot of incredibly tedious work.

Hello, this error just began occuring in our tenant today (4/19/2022) and is extremely problematic.  Is there any why to track status and resolution?  Or is this blog the best source?  Thanks.

I'm also having the same issue. It only is an issue with Power BI Online Service. The forecast works on the PBI desktop, but not in the Power Bi Service.
