LINE CHART X AXIS WITH DATE HIERARCHY CREATED BY P.BI. VS HIER. CREATED USING COLUMNS OF DATE TABLE

t is recommended to use date tables instead  the same date column of a table.

When trying to do this in a Line Chart I see the following difference:

When using directly a Date  column and PBI autocreates it hierarchy, when drill down to i.e, quarter,I see the following:

But when using the Date Table, and move from year to quarter, I cannot comprise the dates in the chart width when I create a hierarchy using the date table columns Year, Quarter, months , etc.

I want to use the date table but that the result in the chart will be like the first picture, where regardless how I drill down, all the information is shown in the chart without need to move through the axis.

Any idea how to solve this problem?

Hi @ARYP ,

In my test, I got the same result when drilling down a line chart no matter whether using a date column from source data table or from date dimension table. Would you please share your sample PBIX file so that I can check?
